Businesses were unsure about the future of the workplace so our product sales bottomed out pretty much instantly. Our CPO set a new product strategy in place, to be executed immediately. It can be summed up best in two main phases.

As lockdown easing was coming up ahead, we made sure to prepare beforehand. In the first three months of lockdown, we designed, built and released new feature sets to address COVID safety concerns.

We leveraged the technologies we already had installed in our clients' workplaces to deliver these product solutions. They included allowing closure of every other desk, requiring sanitisation from cleaning staff before reuse, reducing capacities of meeting spaces and health declarations before booking.

Some of our clients were asking for new feature sets to allow them to mandate office presence to their employees and monitor attendance.

However, our research indicated that employees do value being in the office, but their main sticking-point is not knowing who else will be in and when.

I proposed we focus our new solutions around the employees. Empowering them with the information they need, so they themselves can decide when to come in and where to be, based on who else is around.
